Join CCL as a Research Project Coordinator at TSE

About TSE

The Toulouse School of Economics and Quantitative Social Sciences – TSE (TSE School) has been a ‘grand établissement’ (Art. L.717-1 of the Education Code) since1January 2023. This new status enshrines an original model that makes use of the management flexibility permitted by recent regulatory changes to support international competition in the recruitment of talent: academic staff and students. TSE is thus an autonomous institution, a constituent part of the University of Toulouse Capitole, which has become an experimental public institution (EPE).

The TSE School is an integral part of the Toulouse Capitole University campus. Located in the heart of the city of Toulouse, it is home to around 2,500 students and over 150 lecturer-researchers in the fields of economics, mathematics and quantitative social sciences.

Overview of the department and the position

The Center for Collective Learning (CCL), led by César Hidalgo, a professor at the TSE School, conducts interdisciplinary research at the intersection of economics, computer science, and the social and behavioural sciences. We are interested in how knowledge grows, fades and shifts, from cities to nations.

The centre is renowned for its public-facing research platforms, including the Observatory of Economic Complexity (OEC), and is currently running several major programmes, including the ERC Synergy ADDI (Advancing Digital Democratic Innovations) project.

We are not looking for a generalist administrative manager. We are looking for someone who is genuinely passionate about science, who wants to be part of an ambitious and dynamic research centre, and who will help to make it run smoothly.
